- Place the document in question on the glass plate and then put down the lid of the scanner.
- When you press on Start, a light will appear on the document.
- You will find the scan head moving in the direction of the document in order to make one complete scan.
- In case the scan head failed to get a to successful pass, it will repeat the process. Attaching it to the stabilizer bar helps in making it stable.
- After the pass, the picture of the document in question is reflected to another mirror by an angled mirror. While most scanners use two mirrors, there are others that use three. The curved surface helps project the image further.
- This image will then be reflected to the lens using these mirrors.
- Now, you will find the lens working together with the filter trying to focus the image for further processing in the CCD array.
- Once it is done, the CCD array will change the image into a form of data that is easily comprehensible for your computer.
- You can now view the image on your computer and decide what you want to do about it.
Does it Work the Same for all 3D Scanners?
